Rebecca's Senior Session in Downtown Annapolis

When Rebecca's mom told me that Rebecca was more of a "city girl," I just knew I had to do one more downtown Annapolis session before I left for maternity leave. I have really come to love that cute little place, with its old buildings, cobblestone streets, colorful homes, and sunsets on the docks. We ended up having to reschedule our session and it turned out to be SUCH a better night - a clear night with a perfect glowy sunset and gorgeous weather.

I love that Rebecca is a musician and wanted to include her flute in her session. She also picked out some super cute outfits that showed off her fun and spunky personality; one such outfit included yellow pants, a "Brightest Crayon in the Box" tee-shirt, and a side pony-tail. .....And I just HAVE to tell you that somehow, magically, almost impossibly, she changed into said outfit while in the TRUNK of her mother's car!!! I don't know how she did it...she must be quite the contortionist. I was very impressed.

We started at the capitol building, moved to some nearby locations, and ended by the water.

It was so much fun meeting Rebecca and her mom -- not just because they are both super sweet and felt like instant friends, but also because they go to the church we are moving into! So we already have new friends in our new location! So happy!!

Kate's Senior Session: Part Two

Do you remember Kate's gorgeous winter session in the snow? Well we decided we just had to a spring-time session, too. Kate loves snow, but she also loves blossoms!

This session was seriously such a dream. We started on a bridge, surrounded by pink flowers. Then we headed to a historical site in Crofton I didn't even know about until Kate introduced me to it! While we were shooting there, I kept thinking that the whole scene was reminding me of something but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then Kate said, "Oh, and I brought along a book to incorporate. I hope that's okay." And then she whipped out the complete works of Jane Austen and it all clicked in my head: Kate was like a character straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Her dress, her hair, the location.....sigh, I could have photographed that scene all day long. Then to top off the evening, we ended with Kate serenading me with her violin at sunset by the pond. It was like magic! I was melting, I was a photographer puddle, snapping away while she was just completely in her element. I love this entire session so much.....you will soon see why!
