Alisha's Winter Bridals

Alisha is a fellow photographer friend of mine, but unlike most photographers I know, she enjoys being in front of the camera just as much as she likes being behind the camera. She has been a model for me several times in the past 3 years we have been friends. I watched and photographed her belly grow when she was pregnant with her first child, and then I watched her become a mother the night her son was born. Now, here she is, almost a year later, as stunning as ever. And fitting back into her wedding dress (I know, I'm jealous too).

When Alisha was married, we hadn't moved to Maryland yet. She told me the day of her wedding was a cold, winter day but the snow wasn't as thick and as brilliant as she had hoped it would be. So, one snowy day in January she approached me and asked if I would be willing to do a sort of "redo" of her bridals....actually, we were going more for a Winter Princess look...or maybe even Snow White, since she fits that ticket quite well. Either way, the images turned out gorgeous. The snow was dazzling, she was brave enough to stand on a frozen-over pond (not to mention brave enough to wear a dress in the freezing cold weather!), and I got to practice my winter (and bridal!) skills. Thank you Alisha, for always being such a good sport and for being just as awesome in front of the camera as you are behind it.

  2. Man, if my wedding dressed wasn't boxed/preserved, I would totally take you up on doing a 'redo' bridal session. All mine were done in a studio by my cousin and I am not a fan. Too stylized and staged but o well.

  4. Such awesome Alisha's Winter Bridal portraits. I loved each and every one out there. We also would be having a winter wedding in next year. We have started doing the research already for our big day so that the things will turn to be stress free later on. Would be booking one of the outdoor wedding venues Los Angeles for the day.
